We have been hard at work in P4Y learning about Roald Dahl and his book Charlie And The Chocolate Factory. We have been doing work in lots of different subjects about this book and we’ve really enjoyed being able to be creative and come up with some great ideas! The best time for this has been during Wonka Time. We do lots of different activities and use what we have learned about the story and characters . We use our imagination and create different things that would fit in with the story! We have designed a new hat for Willy Wonka, made puppet characters and created a puppet show and a board game based on the book.
We’ve also joined with other children from around the world to celebrate Roald Dahl Day by watching a Videocast of Quentin Blake and raising money for Roald Dahl’s children’s charity by dressing up as Roald Dahl characters for the whole day. Thank you to everyone who supported us on Roald Dahl day – we made a fantastic £198. 29!
