Primary 1 News

Primary 1 have been really busy this term.  We enjoyed learning about The Olympics which made it even more exciting to be able to go and watch The Olympic Torch pass through Lasswade. It was a fantastic atmosphere and the children enjoyed the opportunity to watch history in the making.

Primary 1 had an enjoyable trip to Edinburgh Zoo on the 30th May.  We visited the pandas and the weather was kind to us.

Primary 1X held their education assembly for parents and the rest of the school on Friday 15th June.  Everyone watching was really impressed with their skills on stage and we are very proud of the children!

The children have taken part in the ‘Keeping Myself Safe’ programme and have participated enthusiastically in role play situations. This is an effective way of making sure that the children have a good grasp of different ways to keep safe. They have learned strategies and practiced using them.

We have really enjoyed working with Primary One this year and would like to take this opportunity to thank all parents and carers for their support. Have a happy, safe and enjoyable holiday! We are hoping it won’t be too wet!
