Parent Council Meeting

Lasswade Primary Parent Council

10th September 2012

7pm @ the Staffroom

Lasswade Primary Parent Council would like to invite you to our first meeting of the academic year on Monday 10th September in the staffroom at 7pm.  (just inside the main entrance by reception).

The main aim of the Parent Council is to help the school operate as a successful school and parental involvement is key to the success of our school partnerships and greatly supports the management, and social aspects of our school community.  The Parent Council is a group of parents who give their time and skills voluntarily to directly benefit the school, who do fun things for our pupils while raising much needed funds for our school. We are open to all parents and carers of our pupils.

Our meetings are informal and held about 6 or 7 times a year and we are always looking for new ideas on how we can better support our school so please do come along!

If you are unable to attend this time but wish to be involved or come to future meetings please contact me so I can put you on our mailing list

New School Year

Welcome back to school everyone, the new P1’s are settling in well. Hope everyone had a nice summer break even though the sun didn’t shine that much we are sure everyone would have enjoyed themselves and watched the excitement of the Olympics unfold. Just a quick reminder to return the form sent home for bad weather arrangements and photograph/video consent form and to remind those who play on the field to bring in an old pair of training shoes to change into for the field.

Finally please be aware there is roofing work ongoing at the school so please keep away from this and stay safe.
