P1 Learning about Natural Scotland
Primary 1 has enjoyed learning about Natural Scotland. We have learnt about flora and fauna in Scotland and enjoyed our immersion day using the story of ‘Brave’. We have found out about different plants and animals that can be found in Scotland and enjoyed weaving tartan hats and making kilts with legs! We are going to add faces to our hats. We hope that all our visitors enjoyed watching our showcase and agree that Primary 1 has very talented singers, speakers and dancers.
We have also been planting bean seeds and are looking forward to watching them grow. We have learnt the things that a plant needs to survive.
We found the visit from Generation Science very exciting as we learnt about different types of animals and how to classify them. We thought about whether they had fur, skin, feathers or scales.
Primary 1 would like to welcome Miss Hadden who will be working with our class until the Easter Break.
We are also looking forward to starting our novel study next week which is ‘The Secret Path’ by Nick Butterworth.
Parent Council Ceilidh Photos
A big thank you to everyone who came along and supported the Ceilidh last night. It was a really good night with a great band, stirring piping and everyone up dancing all evening thanks to our brilliant caller! Our choir were there too, not only did they give us a wonderful vocal performance but they demonstrated the dances for us admirably. Thanks also to everyone who donated tombola prizes.
