P1 News

Primary 1 have settled very well into school and the children are already working hard. We have been making our ‘Class Charters’ which outline the promises which we have made to one another in order to create a quality learning environment. We are a Rights Respecting School so we have also been discussing the rights of the child through story books.

Everyone is adapting well to new routines including our ‘Learning Choices’ as well as the positive behaviour systems we have in place. We are so pleased that so many people have already been on the ‘Rainbow WOW!’

We have been learning about ‘Ourselves’ and our Families and have been busy making lots of lovely displays for our class areas. As Autumn comes upon us we look forward to spending more time outside and observing the seasonal changes in our school grounds.

This week we are looking forward to spending the whole day at school and we have been paired up with Primary 7 buddies who will help us at lunch time. We will also have a visit from a show called ‘Alan’s Magic’ which explores key road safety messages.
