This term we have been busy working on our Novel Study ‘The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch’. The children have been using this story for a range of exciting activities, including making lighthouse sandwiches and puppets for their very own puppet shows. We have been learning about features of a text and have been looking carefully at books to spot the title and author. The children have been using their imaginations to write fantastic stories about the Novel Study including those about ‘The Yuckiest Sandwich Ever!’ and ‘The Magic Lunchbox’. Some yucky sandwiches even included things like spiders and slime!
Primary 1 are continuing to work hard on all their sounds and number work. They have also enjoyed dance sessions with Mrs Campbell and some outdoor gym too. This week we have had football taster sessions from Lasswade Thistle which were great fun.
Preparations are well under way for our Christmas Nativity which will take place on the 11th of December. We look forward to lots of Winter fun over the coming term.
