P4 News

fish in room 11P4 have had a very busy term 2!

We have completed a mini project on the Islam faith – learning all about Allah, the Propher Muhammad, the Five Pillars, Eid, Ramadan and the Qu’ran.  We also enjoyed a visit to the mosque in Edinburgh.

We are now immersed in the novel The Fish in Room 11 and are enjoying tasks such as hot seating, conscience alley, thought tracking and lots of artists impressions.  Our writing is all linked to the novel too. We are enjoying working in pairs and supporting one and other.

Every Wednesday, we are being bused to Penicuik for swimming lessons and these will continue into late January.  Thanks to all the parents who are accompanying us.

We have recently enjoyed celebrating the 25th birthday of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of a Child and delivered a successful assembly to our parents and the whole school raising awareness of the UNCRC.

We are now looking forward to the lead up to Christmas with our lunch, the pantomine, our party and a visit to Mr Mitchell’s church.
