Farewell Miss Reid

Miss ReidWe would also like to wish Miss Reid well in her new post.  She will act up as depute head at Woodburn Primary for the duration of P4.

Good luck Miss Reid! We will miss you!

Good Luck Mrs Doyle

photo 1Mrs Doyle leaves Lasswade Primary today to take up a head teacher role at West Linton Primary.

She has worked tirelessly at Lasswade and will be greatly missed by both staff and pupils.

The whole school joined in on a farewell assembly this morning with every class, including our nursery, contributing either a song, a poem and we had a few animations too.  It even brought a tear to Mrs Doyle’s eye!

We would like to take this opportunity to wish Mrs Doyle the very best of luck in her new job although we all know she will be absolutely fabulous!!

GOOD LUCK!!!! And don’t forget to keep in touch.

Rugby

play-sports-mdOur pupils have been enjoying touch rugby as part of our Health Focus.  A number of children have asked about club rugby so here is some information which has been passed on by local coach Amy Sanderson:

Lasswade Rugby Club
P1-P7 Sunday 11-12:30pm
P4-P7 Wednesday 7:30-8:30pm
If any kids are interested Amy’s number is 07837954565 or they can just turn up to a session at Polton Hall Astro.Specifically a couple of P7 girls asked about playing, at the moment they can play mixed at Lasswade RFC but when then go into high school they need to play for an all girls team – Lasswade High school have one and Murrayfield Wanderers would be an all girls club team close by.

All rugby clubs are also running Easter Camps this year

Penicuik 13/14th April £10
Dalkeith 15/16th April £10
Lasswade 13-16th April £25
