Our Christmas Fair will take place on Saturday 30th November at the new Lasswade High School Centre between 11am and 1pm.
This is also the same day that the Christmas lights will be switched on in the town centre.
We are also planning to have a raffle this year with the top prize being an Ipad mini!!!
All the usual attractions will be there including Santa Claus in his grotto.
We hope this session is going to be another exciting one for our P5 Learning Council. Every year a small group of children are selected from P5. These children find out what is happening in other schools and share their learning. This session our Learning Council members at P5 are Euan Maguire, Isla Hunter and Fatima Yusef P5Y and Paul McIntyre, Michael Page and Elle Alexander P5X. The children then share lots of new information with the rest of our school at Assembly or our Citizenship gatherings.
On our very first visit of the Learning Council Bonnyrigg, Burnbrae and Hawthornden came to visit our school. We gathered them into the small hall and they made a name badge.
After the success of our Friday Focus groups last year, we have launched Monday Mingles this year offering our P3-P7 pupils a range of exciting learning experiences and the opportunity to work across age stages and with a variety of teachers.
We will be holding our first consultations of the 2013-2014 school year on Wednesday and Thursday between 5pm and 7pm.

The Parent Council have once again arranged for A3 annual class calendars to be prepared.
They will be available to order at Parents Nights on Wednesday and Thursday and at the Christmas Fair should you be interested in ordering.
A massive thank you to Abbie Watt in P7X’s mum and dad for giving up their time to take the photographs. I am sure you will agree when you see them that they look fantastic.
Karen Campbell, our PE specialist, took two teams (one of P4 and P5 pupils and the other of P6 and P7 pupils) to Vogrie this morning and this afternoon to take part in the Midlothian Cross Country Championships.
The Parent Council are holding a fancy dress disco on Wednesday 30th October.
Times – P1-3 – 6pm – 7pm/P4-7 – 7.15pm to 8.15pm.
Tickets cost £2.50 each.

The P1 Meet the Teacher evening will take place on Wednesday 4th September with P2 – P7 Meet the Teacher evening being held on Wednesday 11th September.
