Cycling and Scootering

Just to let you know that no one should be scootering in the playground at the start or the end of the day.

Please also ensure that you are wearing a helmet to keep you safe.

Also, there should be no ball games in the playground before the start of the school day as there are no adults to supervise.

Welcome Back to School

back-to-school2We would like to welcome all our nursery and P1-7 pupils back to school for the 2015-16 school session.

It is lovely to have everyone back at LPS looking so smart and so eager to learn.

Cycle Programme

Your school has been part of the UPower cycle programme this term and your pupils have shown enthusiasm to Get Midlothian Cycling. Therefore, I would like to offer the opportunity to P5-7 pupils to take part in the UPower summer school Bikeability training.

It is a free 2-day club for those who missed out on Bikeability training in school or would like to build on the skills they already have. Members are invited to come along to RUTS and earn their Level 2 badge. The following is full information for parents:

Free 2-day Bikeability Level 1 and 2 course
Learn how to cycle safely on the road. Everyone who takes part will receive a badge and certificate!
When : 10am – 3pm – Tue 11 – Wed 12 July
Where : RUTS (beside the Mining Museum), Newtongrange
Who : Age 9 – 12
