The Scottish Government has proposed to increase the provision of free childcare provision to 1140 hours per year by 2020, for children who are 3 or 4 years old, as well as for vulnerable 2 year olds who are eligible for the 600 hours free entitlement through the Children & Young People’s Act 2014.
We would like to obtain parents views on how they would use this provision. In order for the survey to produce representative results it is important that we reach as many parents of 3 or 4 year old children from as wide a variety of back grounds as possible. The questionnaire should take no more than 10 minutes to complete.
The responses to the questionnaire will be completely anonymous and no details will be stored that can identify any individuals.
The survey is available at the following link.

Just a reminder to all parents that pupils should refrain from bringing any snacks which contain nuts or any nut products in their packed lunch as we have a number of children who have severe allergies to nuts.
Your support is much appreciated.

Our P1 teachers, Lynsey Binnie and Alison Adams, led a learning conversation at #PedagooPrimary entitled: Using ‘Learning Superheroes’ to develop growth mindsets in the Early Years.
They shared their work on developing growth mindsets in the Early Years through the use of ‘Learning Superheroes’. They drew upon relevant theory and research to discuss how this impacts upon what children perceive a ‘good learner’ to be.
