Right to Play

The whole school have been involved in THE RIGHT TO PLAY AND REST poster competition.

We chose a winner from each class including the nursery and have had these blown up to be displayed in our playground.  Here is Laiba and Sophie with their winning posters.

Right to Play
We are hoping to apply for our Level 2 award very shortly and this competition along with the work of the steering group on a playground charter has been part of a focus on Article 31 – The Right of Every Child to Play and Rest.

Thanks to everyone who took part in the competition.

Welcome to Mrs Cameron

Mrs CameronWe welcome Mrs Laura Cameron to Lasswade Primary this week as our new Acting Headteacher.

Mrs Cameron joins us until the summer from Cornbank Primary in Penicuik.

We wish her all the very best of luck in her new appointment.

Good Luck Miss Donaldson

IMG_4837We had a lovely assembly this afternoon to wish Miss Donaldson all the very best in her new post as Head Teacher at Craill Primary.

From the nursery to P7, our pupils shared memories, poems, songs and a special film to say how much we will miss her.

Tomorrow is Miss Donaldson’s final day and I am sure you will join with us at LPS in saying a massive thank you to her and wish her well in her new post.  We will miss you 🙁
