Well at last they are here!

P4 Trip to the Park

Primary 4 had a fabulous fun sports afternoon at KGV park today (Thursday 26th). Both Primary 4 classes walked to the park, so there were 60 children, two teachers and 10 parent helpers. They played eight different games, from skipping to baton relays, and played in the play park, too.  To give them some energy for the walk back to school, they had a snack and a drink. P6 Trip to Amazonia

Our P6 pupils enjoyed a fantastic day out last week to Strathclyde Country Park’s Amazonia.  This was a perfect way to round off their Rainforest/Sustainability topic.

The children had the opportunity to see macaws, marmosettes, snakes, kinkajous and many other creatures from the Amazon rainforest not to mention the opportunity to handle snakes, tarantulas and gekkos!

The Queen’s Baton Relay

Today was the third day of The Queen’s Baton Relay of its tour of Scotland, ahead of the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.

The baton is taking a 40-day trek round the host country – ending with the opening ceremony on 23 July.

The latest leg took in Loanhead, Penicuik, Rosewell, Bonnyrigg, Newtongrange, Gorebridge, Mayfield, Easthouses, Newbattle and Dalkeith.
